EM Associates is a consultant organization headquartered in Calhoun County Alabama that provides a series of Emergency Management plans including a DMA2K/CFR-44 compliant Hazard Mitigation Plan, a NFPA-1600/NIMS compliant county, school, college and university Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), a JHACO/HICS compliant Hospital Emergency Response Plan, a FEMA/DHS compliant Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), a HSEEP compliant Exercise and a comprehensive jurisdiction or facility Threat and Risk Assessment. State clients supported include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee.

EM Associates specializes in providing an All Hazard Mitigation Plan for county governments (plans currently underway) and a Continuity of Operations Plan. EM Associates also can provide the private sector business continuity planning and a Business or IT Business Continuity Plan.

Preparedness capabilities and capacities for hazard events is dependant on how well an agency or a community is prepared for an emergency.
